Winter 2019 Unit 2 Letters to the Thessalonians

Lesson 9 Stand firm in Christ

January 26, 2020

In Christ, believers can stand firm through all adversity.

Introducing the Study

When you think of the persecution of Christians, what comes to mind?  Maybe you have endured affliction for your faith. Or perhaps you know others who have suffered for Christ.

Most of us have not experienced the type of severe persecution the Thessalonian Christians and the apostle Paul endured. Yet even if we haven't experienced something like it, we can still learn a great deal from their examples of steadfast faith amid their trials. This study explores the Thessalonian believers' faithfulness in the face of adversity and helps us learn from faithful ministers such as Paul and Timothy, who stood behind and encouraged them along the way.
