Spring 2019 Unit 2 Fruit and Gifts of the Spirit

Lesson 13 Gifts That Grow the Church

May 26, 2019

God provides leadership gifts to strengthen and mature each local church in Christ

The Lesson Overview

Every Christian is called to be a minister, or servant, of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This calling is not relegated to just those in vocational ministry. And so as believers live in submission to the Lord, their actions and the use of their gifts will not only impact themselves. They will also have an impact on the church as a whole. Unity in the church is the result of each Christian’s personal walk with Christ. Therefore, the believer should be engaged in ministry as well as act in the gifts of the Spirit. This in turn should edify the church both spiritually and numerically. The leadership gifts discussed in this lesson are meant to equip the saints to do just that.
